Why couldn’t I use and format my JF920 on the car after Tesla has updated its car software?

If your JF920 flash drive is well-operated on the car before Tesla has updated its car software but could not undergo  formatting or dash cam

and sentry mode video recording after the updates, we recommend that you connect your JF920 to a computer for the formatting process.

Please format your JF920 to exFAT, FAT32 (for Windows) and MS-DOS FAT (for Mac),and manually add a new TeslaCam folder ; 

the flash drive should then be operative on the car.

If the problem still exists after the aforemnetioned operations, it is recommended that you may also format the JF920 with  the free third-party software "Refus".


Ps. we found that various brands of flash drives could not record dash cam and sentry mode videos, or undergo formatting on the car after 

Tesla has updated its vehicles. We presume that such issues may be related to the updates of the car software.
